Serendipity 3

Munich

2005 rewinds -2

The Gates, Central Park

KING KONG

2005 rewinds -1

Lots of things happened in 2005. I ought to write some (at least to show some photos) in order to wrap it up. I'll skip some sad things though.
Chronically, the first news is that I got married in mid Jan, at Las Vegas. I need more time to write about this part though. I promise I'll do so before our anniversary.
Instead, this is about our first Valentine's Day as an married couple!

Window show @ Macy's

Memoirs of a Geisha
Yes, I did went to see "Memoirs of a Geisha".
I have to say that it's such an extreme experience for me. Half hour before the movie started, there had been a long line waiting to get in. Every seat in the room is taken. I actually saw someone climbing to get to the middle in order to reach the only seat left.
The movie is absolutely beautiful and I really enjoy the performance of the actors and actress. But I have to say it's weird to see them speaking English with accent while the whole story took place in Japan, not to mention there were some dialogue in Japanese without any English subtitle to confuse the audience even more. I know the problem is that the book was written in English to begin with. With the director being in american state of mind, there is probably no solution to this. I just think it's weird. The actors might as well speak perfect English ALL THE TIME so that this movie would be a typical Hollywood movie.
